Well, the night to yesterday I spent watching a live broadcast from New Orleans, good couple of hours. Last week I watched the NDC pretty much every night it was on. Earlier today one of my colleagues said that for a non-american guy I was really interested in what’s going on there. I answered “It’s like watching the animals at the zoo.” And i stand by what I said
Still, it’s almost as interesting, though for reasons completely different to look at politicians in the eastern block. Well, just Russian politicians really. Mostly Putin and his pawn.
Watching the political news today is really like watching two extremes. There’s these two men in the US (well actually one really old guy and the token black guy) trying to picture themselves as the benevolent saviors of the civilized world, and then there’s this bad ass macho guy showing off his killer instinct skills and once and again proving to the world that he is not a guy to mess around with. Between these two extremes we have the three stooges trying to make everyone get along.
