So, I guess I got bored with the blogging thing. Never really was into it anyways, mostly wanted to test the software… but as I’m not really doing anything right now (or avoiding doing the things I should be doing) I thought I might write a little update of what’s been going on the last couple of months.
After October I did another month at Hartnackschule, this must have been the biggest joke they ever pulled. Really big group, something like 25-30 people, whereof maybe one third were actually interested in learning anything. The group was at all kind of different levels which meant that most of the time we didn’t do anything. Will probably not go back to HnS again.
The same month we “finished” the paper we’d been working on and sent it to the ESAIR workshop hoping to get accepted, notice wouldn’t be given till January…
December rushed by, spent two and a half weeks back in Sweden and then came back in time for a positive answer on the paper. January was a bit stressy at work so it really rushed by quickly. The workload was quite heavy, which meant I had to scrap my plans on going to Washington for Z’s birthday and Obama’s inauguration, crap. Will have to fit in a visit to DC sometime during the next couple of months instead. Figuring out where to fit that trip won’t be easy since it looks like I’ll be going for some sort of trip/visit/whatever pretty much every third week or so.
February’s been great so far, spent four days in Barcelona at ESAIR and WSDM, and now there’s just a couple weeks left till it’ll be time for CeBIT and Hannover for a half a week or so.
