As I’ve written earlier, at this year’s RecSys we’re organizing a challenge on context-aware movie recommendation. The challenge is part of a joint event together with the workshop on Context-Aware Recommender Systems (CARS) and I’m anticipating both events to be very interesting. We’re done with the reviewing and currently waiting for the camera ready versions [...] It’s been official for a couple of days now, we got our workshop proposal for RecSys 2010 accepted. The idea is to have a context-aware movie recommendation challenge. The challenge will be held as joint event with the Context-aware Recommender Systems workshop,which was held for the first time at last years’ RecSys. We’re halfway through the programme, having heard sessions on Access/Brain Interfaces, Smart Reading, Intelligent Agents, Mobile Interaction and the workshops (Intelligent Visual Interfaces for Text Analysis, Multimodal Interfaces for Automotive Applications, Semantic Models for Adaptive Interactive Systems, Eye Gaze [...] RecSys09 A couple of weeks ago I attended the 3rd ACM Conference on Recommender Systems which was an experience nothing else than excellent.
